I had my final assessment for my teaching qualification yesterday and rated as Good (2nd level from the top).

Today I had a job interview for a position in East London and they've offered me the job.
Now I sleep!

(And maybe this means I'll start posting stuff again)

It's been too long since I posted here so I thought I'd better stop by and say hi. I'm still around and still part of the simming community, though not terribly active at the moment.

It's been a while, I know.

I started volunteering in a primary school in September which is why I've been so quiet on the simming front - those kids are exhausting.  I'm not sure it's going to get any better from here as I start a one year teacher training course in September, but I am still simming and the Discworld legacy is still continuing (just ( Read more... )

NO MORE WARFARIN!!

I'm slowly getting better.  I went back to the fracture clinic on Monday to give back the aircast boot I've been wearing for the last 6 weeks.  The doctor was happy with my progress and said I'm healing nicely.  He was a bit surprised that I'd already started weight bearing without the boot but not unhappy about it.

I now have a cold.  Given I barely leave the house at the moment I was hoping to avoid catching one this year but my mum brought one home from school (she teaches 6 year olds) and passed it on to me, thanks mum!

I got home on Friday night absolutely exhausted but very glad to be out of the hospital. On Thursday I wasn't sure I was going to be home this weekend, the doctors thought my heart rate was still a bit high, but I (and my mother, she can be rather scary) managed to persuade them the it was being in hospital being poked and prodded that was sending ( Read more... )

The chapter is still refusing to let me write it, I have pages and pages of notes but whenever I sit down to try and write anything properly my mind just goes blank.  It's nearly as bad when I try to get some pictures for the scenes I have written - I've had the game open and house loaded since 10 this morning and yet I haven't actually done ( Read more... )
